Harbored Souls – Collapsing Trachea & Laryngeal Paralysis Support Group is a nonprofit organization dedicated to informing and supporting families who care for dogs with these diseases.

The Facebook Group was founded by Karen LaCaze-Dussel in 2019 after having 10 years of experience in the rescue world and then having 3 of her own dogs with Tracheal Collapse. One of which survived Laryngeal Paralysis with the “Tie Back” surgery. She created the group to share all of her knowledge she had gained in dealing with the diseases and to create a relatable community of people that can support one another. With over 12,000+ members and counting, the members are active and always sharing information, along with their experiences in dealing with each disease. We welcome you with open arms, and hope to bring you answers you are so desperately are searching for when it comes to your own fur baby and their issues.

SPECIAL FUND: LETTER OF PURPOSE

Harbored Souls Rescue goals are to reach a large audience through effective social media marketing. To help families that are unable to pay for veterinary cost incurred from Tracheal Collapse and Laryngeal Paralysis in dogs. Harbored Souls Rescue will strive to help educate people on the two diseases we specialize in sponsoring. We will provide help in ways we see fit. We will try to make it possible for people to prolong the lives of their beloved family members by means of payments directly sent to veterinary offices to cover testing, medications, and visits.
